Ion+ Connect Now Available with Dedicated WiFi-Enabled Controller

Metropolitan Industries is pleased to announce the release of a WiFi-enabled version of the Ion+ Connect smart sensing controller, available for wholesale distribution in the plumbing and building trade markets.

The dedicated WiFi connectivity option complements our existing cellular-enabled Ion+ Connect controller, giving plumbing and basement waterproofing specialists greater flexibility when implementing smart pumping solutions in residential and light commercial properties.

With an active Internet connection, the Ion+ Connect transforms any sump or sewage pumping setup into a smart, connected environment. Designed to operate with one or two 120-volt AC pumps (up to 15 amps), this smart-sensing controller monitors all pumping activity and key environmental indicators to help end users, regardless of whereabouts, keep their properties protected from flooding or sewage backup.

The Ion+ Connect transmits collected data to the Ion Blue app, our proprietary water flow monitoring platform featuring an intuitive display that allows homeowners and property managers to remotely keep tabs over pump on/off status, pump run-time, water level, and additional metrics.

End users can ensure they are never left in the dark by configuring Ion Blue’s notification rules to detect and alert them to specific conditions such as high water level, irregular pump runtime, utility power loss (or return), and pump failure. With extensive support for managing access to multiple users and across several properties, establishing response readiness for active alerts has never been more within reach.

For installers aiming to simplify installation startup and reduce end-user costs, the WiFi-enabled controller is designed for easy configuration with property wireless networks right out of the box.
